Ernst van den Hemel is projectleider van MAKEBELIEF. Daarnaast is hij senior onderzoeker bij NL-LAB/Meertens Instituut en bijzonder hoogleraar Religie in Erfgoed en Populaire Cultuur aan de Universiteit Utrecht. Tevens is hij voorzitter van Nederlands Genootschap voor Godsdienstwetenschap

Rachèl Blokhuis-Koopman is Phd researcher in MAKEBELIEF. She researches religion and theme parks in the United States, with an emphasis on the Creation Museum and Dollywood.
Aysenur Korkmaz is postdoctoral researcher in MAKEBELIEF. She focuses on religion, heritage and theme parks in Turkey.
Lukas Vonhout studies Religious Studies at Utrecht University. He works as intern for MAKEBELIEF. He researches Islam and immersive media in the Netherlands.
